Congratulations to Cecelia Lankutis, our first Affiliate member! If you’ve been to any DWPC event in the past few years, Cecelia is familiar to you as she has long been one of DWPC’s most active and supportive friends. The Affiliate category was created for not-yet-published writers and non-writers interested in supporting women’s writing. A writer hard at work adapting her family’s history for publication, Cecelia’s roots are in Lithuania, where an ancestor risked his life as a book smuggler, a knygesia. Clearly, Cecelia inherited her ancestor’s dedication to the written word. Welcome her when you spot her at the club.
