Last month, Sara K. Martin, a 2023 Frances Belford Wayne Merit Award winner, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Master’s in Journalism. Sara was an active journalism major at MSU Denver, serving as a public and media specialist for the Colorado Avalanche’s front office (2021-2022), and had works published in Colorado Community Media, The Denver North Star, and NHL.com. In her senior year at MSU, she served as editor-in-chief of the bi-weekly collegiate newspaper, The Metropolitan. Congratulations, Sara, and thanks for keeping us informed!
