The intrepid women who trained Navy pilots during WWII will come to life in a free staged reading of Kirsten Dahl Collins’ new play, Making WAVES, at the Vintage Theatre on September 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Making WAVES follows Swedish farm girl Verna Swenson from a cow barn in Minnesota to the volcanic beauty of Hawaii. The play was inspired by the wartime experiences of Kirsten’s mother, shown in photo.
