Reception and Reading of Memoir ‘You May Plow Here’ April 9, 2024

A new edition of a ground-breaking memoir, YOU MAY PLOW HERE: the Narrative of Sarah Brooks, will be introduced to Denver-area readers at a reception and reading at the Denver Woman’s Press Club, 1325 Logan Street, Tuesday, April 9, 5 to 7 p.m. Brooks, born in 1911 and raised on a farm in rural Alabama, provides a rare, personal account from a black landowner, bolstered by 33 photographs from Thordis Simonsen.
