DWPC teams up with the Center for Colorado Women’s History

August 26, 1920 marked the day that the right to vote for women was ratified and guaranteed in the the U.S. Constitution as the 19th Amendment.

Each year this landmark event is celebrated as Women’s Equality Day. The importance of recognizing the right for women to vote continues to resonate in politics today and the Center for Colorado Women’s History will proudly celebrate Women’s Equality Day with a lawn party that will offer presentations and performances on Colorado women’s history, information on Colorado women’s organizations (including DWPC!), kid-friendly yard games and crafts, and some iced tea to stay cool on the grounds of the historic home of the Byers and Evans families.
