Women — Inventors of Writing? Talk by Sharon Coggan
New theories point to women as the original inventors of writing itself. Come and enjoy a fun and informative talk on this fascinating topic by our member Dr. Sharon L. Coggan from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28. The presentation will highlight historical, literary, epigraphic, artistic and linguistic evidence of societies ruled by ancient matriarchal cultures and the “Kunta,” the sacred women of ancient Sumeria, who invented “cuneiform,” the earliest known form of writing.
Light refreshments will be served. The event is free, but do RSVP here. (Put “Women Inventors of Writing” in the subject line.)
