Denver Woman's Press Club
Kyle Patterson, park information officer for Rocky Mountain National Park, will speak at the Denver Woman Press Club’s Sept. 21 meeting. She will talk about the park, which turned 100 years old this year and is the fifth most visited park in the U.S. She will relate stories about dealing with the media during the 14 years that she has worked at the park.
The social hour starts at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 6 p.m., followed by Patterson’s presentation. Dessert, of course, will be birthday cake. Members and their guests are welcome, the cost is $16 for dinner and $4 per glass of wine, and members may RSVP through Hilary@artconsultation.com.
For those who would like to study up beforehand and those who cannot attend, a brief history of the 415-square-mile park is online here. Photo of Longs Peak at sunset by Erik Stensland.
