Contemporary poets and DWPC members Hilary DePolo and Laura V. Keegan will lead the Sunday, Jan. 17 salon. Their title of their presentation is “Writing Poetry, Seeking Inspiration.”

DePolo has been awarded two residencies at the Ucross Foundation and Jentel Artist Residency Program and her works have been published by Buffalo Bones and Green Fuse Community Press, and the Loveland Museum. A professional art consultant, DePolo believes one art form informing another leads to a deeper experience. She is currently working with a photographer on an exhibit titled “Prairie Crossroad,” which will be displayed in March at aBuzz Gallery.

Keegan is also an award-winning, published poet. Her debut novel, Haunting at Remington House, was released in 2015 and a book of poetry, Dark Side of My Soul, is expected to be released soon. Keegan, who is active in many writing groups, believes that poetry is one of the best ways to relate, inspire and connect with others.

Salons take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at the clubhouse, 1325 Logan St. Members and the public are welcome, and a donation of $5 is suggested.
