Open Mic and Happy Hour at the Clubhouse | November 2024

Please join us for Open Mic Happy Hour from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024.

DWPC’s Open Mic for writers provides a safe place for writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry – both women and men – to share their work. Participants and readers, all of whom should be 18 years old or older, are expected to be mutually respectful.

During the 2024-25 season, the regular time for the open mic is the third Friday of every month, except for December when Open Mic is on holiday.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Buffy Gilfoil will take names of those who wish to read. Up to 12 writers may read each evening. Starting at 5:15, each reader gets five minutes. The facilitator stops the reading at five minutes, so time yourself beforehand! Lights are out and doors are locked at 7 p.m. sharp.

No RSVPs accepted. Just show up. While this is a free event with light refreshments, donations are gladly accepted.
