Join us for an entertaining and informative evening with Denver-based author Adrian Miller. He’ll share stories from his latest book, The President’s Kitchen Cabinet: The Story of the African Americans Who Have Fed Our First Families From the Washingtons to the Obamas. In particular, Adrian focuses on the men and women who have cooked for President’s Washington, Jefferson, Benjamin Harrison, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson and Obama. Adrian Miller is an attorney, certified barbeque judge and food writer. He’s the author of Soul Food: The Surprising Story of an American Cuisine, which won the 2014 James Beard Foundation Award for Reference and Scholarship, and he’ll join us for a run talk and a great way to start the year.
