Former Ambassador Christopher Hill, dean of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, will speak at the Saturday, Feb. 6 brunch about his experiences as a four-time U.S. ambassador to foreign countries. He is also expected to address the dangers journalists face and the protections they receive when working in foreign countries. He may also speak of the particular dangers female journalists face in countries where women’s roles and rights are significantly restricted.

Hill relates his experiences as ambassador to Iraq, Korea, Poland and Macedonia in his memoir titled Outpost: Life on the Frontlines of American Diplomacy.

Members and their invited guests are welcome at the brunch, which will begin at 10 a.m. The cost is $13 per person plus $4 per glass of wine. Reservations are required by noon Feb. 4 and may be made through or by paying in advance through PayPal.
