Affiliate Membership Application
Information for Affiliates
The five requirements:
- You must reside in Colorado.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Provide a list of writing or journalism courses, classes, or workshops you have taken (in school or otherwise): creative writing, non-fiction writing, poetry, writing workshop, writer’s conference, or other.
- Provide a list of writing, women’s, community, and/or historical organizations in which you are active.
- Provide a letter explaining your interest in writing and communications, women’s history, historic preservation, or other related interests. Why would you like to become an affiliate member, and how would you like to contribute to the DWPC’s programming and mission?
How to apply:
The application process begins with your attendance at a club function, preferably as a guest of a member. That member acts as your sponsor, reviews your application and supporting materials, seeks an endorser, and submits your package to the Membership Committee to start the review process. The committee presents all completed applications to the Board at its next scheduled meeting. Applicants and their sponsors are notified in writing of the Board’s decision following the meeting.
Application Fee:
The application fee is $125, the amount of your first year’s membership dues, to be included with the application. You can apply and pay online or print and mail.
