| Bio |
Shere began her career as a freelance artist almost 26 years ago. She has produced dozens of fine art paintings as well as hundreds of commercial print items including brochures, catalogs and two books. In 1996 Shere added website design to her list of interests. Her animated children’s tutorial website for the Kentucky Virtual Library won a Golden Web award in 2003. She now develops custom-crafted, database-driven websites which allow owners to update their own content. Two of Shere’s short stories, Waiting for Elvis and Voices in the Cave have won prizes in the DWPC In-House Writers’ Contests. Shere is currently writing a historic novel set two thousand years ago at the crucial point where Roman, Greek, Jewish, early European and Nabatean (Arabian) cultures collided, with results that still reverberate in the world today. The book will also feature a supporting website, with maps, timelines, and full documentation of research sources. Shere is also a member of the Alliance for Professional Women of Denver and Lighthouse Writers of Denver. In her spare time, Shere creates one-of-a-kind astrological necklaces. |
