As an editor with more than fifteen years’ experience, I began my own freelance editorial company in 2007, making it my full-time focus in 2011. Prior to that, I worked as the senior editor with a specialization in natural history titles at Fulcrum Publishing in Golden, Colorado, from 2003 to 2011. My editorial career began on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I was fortunate to live and work in that unparalleled setting as a general editor for the Grand Canyon Association, which partners with the National Park Service to produce visitor materials and general audience books. A job at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science brought me and my husband to Denver in 2001, and I am still involved with the museum as a volunteer and freelancer. I was recently elected to serve on the DWPC board as president-elect for 2013, and I am excited to be able to contribute to such an honored institution. |
